Prescription drugs play a critical role in health and health care, from preventive care to treatment of acute conditions to health maintenance and control of chronic conditions. However, pharmacy spending is also a significant driver of health care cost growth. As a result, early value-based payment models are emerging from national insurers and PBMs for new classes of drugs. During this 1-hour webinar, participants will review three strategies for applying value-based payment principles to pharmacy, and discuss how these methods could apply to public and private insurers in Vermont.
