In September 2015, Governor Peter Shumlin announced that Vermont’s Medicaid SSP achieved $14 million in savings in Year 1 of the program, while savings were not achieved the commercial SSP – but what has the ACO model meant for providers, payers, and most importantly of all, Vermonters? Vermont’s Medicaid and commercial ACO Shared Savings Programs (SSPs), launched in 2014, are a key component of our state’s State Innovation Models grant and larger state health reform efforts. Since the end of the first SSP program Year in December of 2014, the State, payers, and evaluators have been working to assess the model’s performance in Year 1. During this 1-hour webinar, participants will take a deep dive into Year 1 results for the Medicaid and commercial shared savings program, including impacts on cost, quality, consumer experience, and sub-populations.
